[CEMU] Online play seems to be very close (if you own a WiiU)

I don't think this has been posted as of yet, this has been posted on the cemu subreddit half a day ago:

By the looks of it this is online play on the official nintendo servers, BUT, you'll need a wii U with CFW to dump some files.

4K60 FPS multiplayer mario kart 8 doesn't seem so far (only splatoon seems to be working ATM, atleast the dev said so).
